Namba Gear Owner Performs At ASCAP Expo

Namba Gear owner, Woody Moran, was asked to perform an original song at the ASCAP Expo songwriter’s convention by hit songwriter Darrell Brown during Brown’s Master Session workshop. Brown has been credited with worldwide music sales of over seventy million units, as both a songwriter and producer, including the 2013 LeAnn Rimes album, Spitfire. Brown co-wrote the number 1 hit "You’ll Think of Me” by Keith Urban, which won the Grammy Award for Best Male Country Vocal Performance in 2006. Brown also co-wrote Urban’s smash hit "Raining on Sunday".

Moran’s song, “Whisper In The Night” co-written with Kelly Brightwell, received a huge positive response from Darrell and the packed house at the Hollywood Ballroom of the Loew’s Hotel where the event was held. Woody commented, “You know you’ve got something going on when Darrell jumps in and starts singing with you.” Regarding the Expo itself Moran said, “As always, ASCAP delivered tremendous knowledge and encouragement in just the right amounts.”
